Good evening.
Before I start, let me share with you a pretty interesting phrase.
"Like how men are told not to question a lady's age, a woman shall never question a gentleman's income level"
Quote from: A wise indian man.
I find this amusing, yet pretty just. Keep that in mind, people.
Today I feel that past relationships are indeed haunting, and tend to hit a person when he/she feels low, and that, in turn, makes the person feel lower. Why is this so? Why can't people just forget stuff at his/her free will? Reason is simple.
The environment.
Everywhere you go, everywhere you turn to, there's bound to be places and corners where moments we once shared. Even items; it can be the comb she once used every single morning before going to work, or the toothbrush you used to share every morning (Yes, I'm aware). Even the scent of her perfume that hits you on the train would remind you of the hugs you used to get before leaving for camp/work/school.
Just before I reached home. I saw this really friendly malay auntie neighbour; she'd refer to me as her child (gosh...) and never fails to ask how life has been for me whenever she sees me. Today, she asked again, so I just commented on my career in the RSN now, she just had to ask,"So boy, how's your girlfriend?"
I so so SO wanted to play her this song.
