Update Update~~

Back~ Well, a little over the supposed 8hours.. Can't help it. Slept a little longer than I was supposed to... Anyways

Went off to pick up a watch from Fossil. Errands.. Lol..

Headed to Robinson's for a little walk-a-talk-a-shop. Hmm... I so very much need new clothes... and shoes... and a phone... and books... and urm.. yeah. Lots, actually.. =P
Bought another jacket. That'll be like my 4th jacket this year. =P

Never really was brought out to try clothes before... Except during New Year shopping sprees... Thank you for doing so, sweets. =P Many more to come right? =D

As usual, more food moments. Where to today?

Shokudo
Essentially a Japanese remake of the popular open-concept Marche Restaurants. Features many fusion-esque cuisine, adding another member to the Jap-Western fusion-istas. The market is so saturated with such themed restaurants to a point where it puts a strain on each other, with each fighting for market share by trying to outdo each other, at times sacrificing the traditional aspects of Japanese food. Where has all the Japanese culture gone?

Nonetheless...

Swiss Rosti served with Japanese Curry

Crunchy, a pretty good stab at western, though not fusion at all, in my opinion. Lacks a familiar sweetness of onions found in that of Marche's rostis.

A tad bit oily, but packs a crunch

Mixed sprouts and shrooms stir-fried. Not too shabby

A chunky beef cheese burger with wasabi-cream. Pretty poor fusing in my opinion..

Not exactly worth it. Sauce was pretty bland... Egg still runny, white still runs clear. Perhaps they were 'rushing' to go home. If so, that's pretty poor work ethics to display at a restaurant, worsened by the fact that it's open concept.

Japanese Milk Tea in a bottle.

Was supposed to take a picture of my Apple Cider Vinegar drink. Very appetizing drink to start off the meal.

Service staff were pretty rude, though not all. Still, dulled the experience by a notch.

Verdict : Probably may return to try the other items, otherwise not likely to come back till they prove their worth. There are plenty of other places serving relatively similar styles, so not worth much more than 1-2 visits.
Shokudo can be found at Raffles City Shopping Centre basement.

Reviews aside, we had a pretty great time out. =) Taxis nowadays are getting more and more brazen in trying to earn more through underhanded means, instead of pure hard work and effort to make the ride a more pleasant one.

Made sure MM got home safe before going back. Smiles~ You're most certainly welcome.
