Seasons Greetings!

Home sweet home~. Feels good to be back this early from camp. In case you were wondering, YES, I had to go back to camp for half a day, but at least it was for a purpose. Today's lunch was a Christmas lunch. Turkey, Log cake, pudding, twas' all there, nicely set up and ready to be attacked by ravenous divers. Ate jellybeans that tasted like soap and nauseating ones too. The things people put into candy these days... Damnit.

It's Christmas Eve! Yeah~ It's been awhile... Last Christmas was around the time when I just enlisted into the Army. The Tekong Cookhouse had such a feast for us on Christmas Eve, with chocolates, carrot cake (not your local fare...) with white chocolate icing and fruit cake. Could so bet we all put on a pound there and then... Only downside is that the weather happens to be EXTRA rainy around this season... I suppose... Any colder it would have come as snow, which probably would be a very welcome sight in sunny Singapore.

Turns out as well that the day before was 冬至 (Dong Zhi). Which the chinese signify as the start of the winter season on the lunar calendar. Had my favourite plain 汤圆 (Tang Yuan) laced with plenty of ginger. Sweet, spicy and warming. How much more cosy can a bowl of sweet soup (甜汤)get on a rainy day?

Yesterday was a rest and relax day, and it was a good one with excellent company. =) I relish the moments, and am looking forward to a great Christmas and rewarding and fruitful New Year with Resolutions! How many of you actually set New Year Resolutions and stick to them? Now now, have some discipline and stick to what you promised yourself you'd do for the New Year ahead. I'll be coming up with a finalized list real soon. Stick around~!
