Woo Hoo~!

Up, brushed, and fed. Woke up satisfied indeed. This goes to show that nothing can stop those who put in effort to make things work, and things will turn out fine. Last night twas' the barbeque at Pasir Ris Park. Sure, many would love to raise the point that it rained a few times last night. Well yes, rain it did, but go prepared, and no rain can stop you, your friends and the fire from having a good time grillin' prawns and wings alike. No one prepares to fail; they only fail to prepare. Was laughing our arses off at people who walked out on their fire and left it to brave the rain and be reduced to a smouldering heap of semi-cooked food and ashes. HA!

I come with pride, with lessons well learnt from the Navy and the Army. We came prepared with standard D&G olive green ground sheets and a spool of coms cord, shielded the fire and food from the unforgiving rain. Well, some of us did end up getting wet, but someone had to do the ropework. No matter, we survived with proud moments, being just about the only pit with a fire burning brightly, and carried on with our eat-drink-and-talk time. Afterall, how many can say that they ever barbequed in the rain? Though the turnout wasn't full strength, but we still had a roaring good time.
